Driver Hire Edinburgh City is currently recruiting experienced Class 2 (Category C) Drivers to support a well‑established client across both Edinburgh East and West depots.

We have a mixture of flexible ad hoc shifts and ongoing full‑time opportunities available, making this a great option for drivers looking for work that suits their availability and lifestyle.

Available Roles

• Edinburgh West – Flexible ad hoc work: shifts offered on an as‑and‑when basis; typical 07:00 am start times; ideal for drivers seeking flexibility.
• Edinburgh East – Ongoing full‑time role: Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays; consistent 08:00 am starts; ongoing work with long‑term potential.

Additional shifts may also be available across both depots depending on business demands.

Pay Rates

• PAYE – £14.50 per hour, £19.32 per hour after 8 hours.
• PAYE Advanced – £16.25 per hour, £21.66 per hour after 8 hours.

Minimum 8 hours’ pay guaranteed per shift. Weekly pay. Overtime opportunities available.

The Role

• Driving a Class 2 vehicle completing multi‑drop deliveries.
• Working alongside a driver’s mate to assist with loading and unloading.
• Ensuring deliveries are completed safely and on time.
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and maintaining accurate records.
• Providing professional and friendly customer service.

Requirements

• Full UK Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• Maximum nine penalty points (no DD, DR, CD or IN endorsements).
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling.
• Minimum twelve months’ Class 2 driving experience.
• Reliable and professional attitude.
