Forfar Golf Club are seeking a skilled and motivated Chef de Partie to join the team. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role delivering a high-quality, modern food offering across clubhouse dining for members and visitors alike, as well as supporting the continued growth of our new restaurant, The Rig & Furrow.

The successful candidate will take ownership of their section, maintain excellent standards, and contribute to a food experience that reflects both the club’s heritage and evolving hospitality ambitions. Working across both the clubhouse and The Rig & Furrow, you’ll play an important role in shaping a fresh, contemporary dining experience for members, guests, and the wider local community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ability to run a kitchen section confidently during service
  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes to consistently high standards
  • Support seasonal menu development and event preparation
  • Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and HACCP procedures
  • Maintain excellent cleanliness, organisation, and portion control
  • Assist with ordering, stock rotation, and minimising waste
  • Work collaboratively with the wider F&B team to deliver reliable, professional service

About You

  • Has their NVQ / SVQ Level 2 in Professional Cookery (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Commis ready to step up
  • Ability to run a section independently
  • Strong attention to detail and consistency
  • Positive, team-focused attitude
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and event days (annualised hours contract)
  • Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene Certificate

Hours

Annualised hours contracts, working 2,080 hours per annum, rota-based shifts including evenings and weekends
