History Teacher – Part-time, Mixed School, Hillingdon

A vibrant Mixed School in Hillingdon is seeking an enthusiastic and engaging History Teacher for a part-time, permanent position. We are looking for an educator who can bring the past to life for our students and foster a critical understanding of historical events and their significance.

• About the Role:
  • Deliver engaging and well-planned History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, covering a range of historical periods and themes.
  • Develop and implement stimulating lesson plans that incorporate a variety of teaching methodologies, including discussion, research, and source analysis.
  • Assess student progress through essays, presentations, and historical investigations, providing constructive feedback to support their learning journey.
  • Contribute to departmental meetings and participate in the development of the history curriculum.
• Ideal Candidate:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in History.
  • A strong knowledge of the secondary history curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to make history relevant and engaging for students.
  • A passion for historical inquiry and the development of students’ critical thinking skills.
