We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a vibrant and supportive primary school in Walthamstow.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled HLTA to play a key role in supporting pupils across Year 5 and Year 6. You will work closely with class teachers and support staff to deliver high‑quality learning experiences, provide targeted support to individuals or small groups, and occasionally cover whole‑class lessons. Class cover may include other year groups, depending on the needs of the school. If you have strengths in a specific curriculum area, the school is happy to tailor some of your cover responsibilities accordingly.
Qualifications
- Qualified HLTA with at least 1 year of experience in a primary setting.
- Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and SATS preparation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A flexible, proactive, and adaptable approach to supporting learning.
This role is full‑time, offered on an ongoing contract basis from November 2025.
