Job Overview

Meadowhead School and Sixth Form Special Educational Needs Department (SEND) is looking to extend its team of Level 2 Teaching Assistants to support our students across the age and ability range, years 7 – 11.

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to help students achieve their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.

This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about education and supporting young people in a positive learning environment.

The successful candidate will join a committed and enthusiastic team of Teaching Assistants providing support for both teaching staff and students.

The working hours will be term time only (39 weeks per year) working 32.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday 8.30am – 3.30pm with 30 minutes for lunch each day.

Key Responsibilities

  • support students in lessons across a range of subjects
  • provide one-to-one and small group intervention support
  • assist teachers with classroom preparation and learning activities
  • support students with additional learning needs where required
  • encourage positive behaviour and student engagement
  • help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
  • monitor and report on student progress where appropriate
