Job Description:

Examine and sort rough diamonds based on size, quality, and characteristics.
Use magnification tools to inspect diamonds for flaws, inclusions, and other imperfections.
Accurately classify diamonds into categories based on established criteria and industry standards.
Maintain detailed records of sorted diamonds, including grading reports and inventory logs.
Ensure that sorted diamonds meet quality standards and report any discrepancies.
Safely handle and store diamonds, ensuring security protocols are followed to prevent loss or theft.
Work closely with gemmologists, quality control specialists, and other team members to ensure consistency in grading and sorting.

Previous experience in diamond sorting, grading, or a related field is preferred.
A diploma or certification in gemology is advantageous.
Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to use magnification tools and other equipment.
Understanding of diamond grading criteria and industry standards.
Good eyesight and manual dexterity.
Competitive salary: £12.00 – £25.00 per hour, reflective of experience and qualifications.
