Year 3 Teacher (Key Stage 2)

Location: Reading

Start Date: September 2026

Salary: Main Pay Scale M1–U3

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 3 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school located in the heart of Reading from September 2026. This role is ideal for a Year 3 Teacher seeking a fresh opportunity at the beginning of the academic year within a supportive and collaborative school environment.

About the School

This well‑regarded primary school prides itself on fostering a culture of honesty, respect and hard work among both staff and pupils. The successful Year 3 Teacher will be responsible for a class of approximately 20 pupils, allowing for more focused teaching and the opportunity to build strong relationships with students while supporting their transition into Key Stage 2.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the curriculum
  • Assessing and monitoring pupil progress to support learning and development
  • Supporting pupils’ emotional wellbeing and confidence
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and parents

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a PGCE
  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 2 (ECTs/NQTs are encouraged to apply)
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A passion for supporting children’s learning and development
