Master Technician – Vertu Kia and MG Edinburgh

Vertu Motors are growing, and we are looking for a Master Technician to join our successful team at Vertu Kia and MG Edinburgh.

We are offering a basic salary of up to £47,780, depending on skills and experience, based on a 42‑hour working week, with an additional over‑performance bonus opportunity.

Your role is crucial in delivering an exceptional customer experience. You will be the technical expert within the workshop, responsible for advanced diagnostics, complex repairs, and high‑quality servicing of customer vehicles.

You will use your expertise to support both your own performance and that of the wider team, ensuring efficient workflows, first‑time fixes and consistently high standards. The role also involves liaising with service advisers, customers and senior management, maintaining a professional approach and excellent communication at all times. You will play a key role in mentoring and developing apprentices and junior technicians, helping to raise capability across the workshop.

Qualifications and skills

  • A relevant formal qualification in Automotive City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3
  • Extensive current experience as a vehicle technician
  • MOT licence preferred but not essential
  • Own set of tools
  • Full UK driving licence
