Job Summary
Part‑time Reading Mentor and Lead Librarian required to support pupils in reading development and manage the school’s library.
Responsibilities
- Deliver Lexonik reading intervention sessions to identified pupil groups
- Provide one‑to‑one and small group tutoring to improve reading skills
- Design activity‑based learning materials for reading interventions
- Engage young people in reading and promote a culture of reading within the school
- Work with the Head of English and SENDCO to ensure learning outcomes for students with SEND
- Maintain and develop the school library collection and reading programmes such as Carnegie Shadowing and Peer Reading
- Collaborate with the librarian team to support reading projects
