Minibus Driver

Overview

Join our transport family as a volunteer driver. We need friendly, reliable volunteers to drive our minibuses and support community groups across the Tees Valley, ensuring affordable transport for people attending events, social activities, and services.

Responsibilities

Act as a driver and support scheduled journeys for community groups. Conduct basic vehicle safety checks, maintain a safe and welcoming environment for passengers, and work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, and community members.

Qualifications

• Aged 21 or older with a driving licence held for over 3 years
• Good communication skills; friendly and approachable with a positive attitude towards helping others
• Reliability and punctuality; committed to scheduled journeys and dependable
• Basic vehicle awareness; able to perform simple safety checks and report any issues
• Teamwork; willing to work with staff, other volunteers, and community groups
• Respect and patience; especially when working with vulnerable or elderly passengers
• Local knowledge of the Tees Valley area is helpful but not essential
• Flexibility; able to support a variety of groups and adapt to different journey types
