Are you a creative and passionate Art Teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity within a SEND setting? This specialist school in Birmingham is looking to appoint a dedicated SEND Art Teacher to join their supportive and experienced team. You will teach small classes of students with a range of special educational needs, delivering engaging and highly differentiated lessons that encourage creativity, self-expression, and confidence.
Job Role
- Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated art lessons to small classes of students with SEND.
- Encourage creativity, confidence, and self‑expression.
- Create a calm, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Work closely with Teaching Assistants and support staff to tailor teaching.
- Use creative approaches to support engagement and progress.
- Assess, monitor, and record student progress.
- Contribute to personalised learning plans and student targets.
Qualifications
- Qualified teacher with strong subject knowledge.
- Genuine interest in supporting students with SEND.
- Previous SEND experience desirable but not essential.
