Working as a Cover Supervisor in SEN provisions is both rewarding and meaningful, giving you the opportunity to make a real difference in a child’s educational journey.
As a Cover Supervisor, your working day will involve:
- Delivering pre-prepared lessons and activities to learners with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
- Supporting students in maintaining engagement and focus throughout the school day.
- Adapting your approach to meet individual learning styles and needs, including those with autism, complex learning difficulties, and SEMH (social, emotional and mental health) needs.
- Promoting positive behaviour and creating a calm, supportive classroom environment.
- Building positive, trusting relationships with students, families, and staff teams.
- Ensuring the safety, dignity, and wellbeing of every learner under your supervision.
All roles are subject to satisfactory references and an Enhanced DBS check.
