This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer with strong mechanical skills, welding and fabrication experience, and a problem-solving mindset.You will play a vital role in maintaining factory machinery, minimising downtime, and supporting safe and efficient production operations.Key Responsibilities Engineering & Maintenance Respond quickly to machinery breakdowns and production-critical issuesCarry out planned preventative maintenance across all site equipmentDiagnose and repair faults on grading, weighing, washing, and packing machineryMaintain mechanical systems including motors, gearboxes, and drive systemsSupport hydraulic and pneumatic maintenance and repairsComplete welding and fabrication work for repairs and bespoke projectsEnsure all machinery is maintained to engineering and safety standardsAssist with investigations into foreign object complaints and implement corrective actionsCarry out occasional maintenance of buildings and site servicesMaintain accurate maintenance records and documentationEnsure compliance with health & safety, food safety, and industry regulationsSkills & Experience Required Previous experience in a multi-skilled engineering role within manufacturing or productionStrong xcswzye mechanical engineering backgroundWelding and fabrication experienceAbility to fault-find and work effectively under pressureGood communication and teamwork skillsUnderstanding of health & safety and food safety standardsWhats on Offer Monday to Friday working patternOpportunity for additional overtime hoursStable and supportive working environmentOpportunity to contribute to continuous improvement projectsCOG LTD are acting as an Employment Agency….
