Project Engineer Job Description:

WSSE are integral in the development of weapon systems and system architectures, and as a result we have developed a capability supporting developments across the full product life cycle. The team integrate real products, models and synthetic environments to provide visualisations, demonstrations, verification & validation as well as training capability and support.

Responsibilities:

The role is to support the delivery of integration tools to customers acting as the liaison between WSSE and ManufacturingWorking with Project Leads and development teams to understand the critical path activities to ensure we deliver on time.You will work as part of a heterogeneous agile development team, made up of mixed discipline engineers working in synergy to deliver the simulations and representations of real equipment.The role requires you to deploy existing software packages provided to you from the software development team onto hardware.You will be responsible for ensuring the relevant Safety and Security documentation has been followed as defined in the published design definitions.The role may require you to support with documentation updates and supporting shipping and export functions (project dependant).

Skillset/experience required:

Familiar with COTS computer hardwareAbility to follow software load instructions to install software on COTS hardwareFamiliar with operating systems such as Linux and windowsAbility to work with a diverse group of people to build relationships and solve problemsAbility to understand and support the delivery of plans so that delivery schedules can be kept. xcswzye Ability to work with stakeholders to provide solutions to problems with plans when they ariseAbility to use and manage simple databases for asset management and tracking purposesAbility to conduct software tests on deliverable equipment using pre-existing test documentationAppreciation for the importance of version controlsAppreciation for the importance of quality controlsPositive and professional behavioursProven ability to deliver to deadlines
