Work EnvironmentHV substations during construction, outage, and commissioning phasesOnshore: 10 hrs/day, 6 days/week, 11 – day fortnight rotationOffshore: 12 hrs/day, 14 – day rotation
Job DescriptionThe Commissioning Engineer SCADA is responsible for testing, commissioning, and integrating SCADA systems for HV substations, ensuring safe, reliable monitoring, control, data acquisition, remote operation, and cybersecurity compliance in accordance with project and client requirements.Perform site-based testing and commissioning of SCADA systems for HV substationsConfigure, test, and validate communication protocols including IEC 6 and OPC UA / A&CVerify correct operation of remote controls, indications, alarms, interlocks, and event loggingEnsure compliance with cybersecurity standards and project specificationsSupport LAN/WAN, switches, routers, and firewalls in coordination with network teamsIntegrate SCADA with third – party systems (Substations, EMS, DMS, metering systems)Support commissioning of Primary and Secondary equipment (advantage)Execute all activities in line with Client and Company Safety Rules, EHS procedures, Method Statements, and Risk AssessmentsMaintain safe systems of work near live or adjacent HV plantStop work and escalate unsafe conditions, non – compliances, xcswzye or protection anomaliesPrepare and maintain test reports, commissioning records, and as – built documentationEnsure compliance with approved Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)Support closure of commissioning defects and punch – list itemsWork closely with Lead Commissioning Engineer, Site Manager, and Client commissioning teamsAuthorizations & CertificationsCAT – 1 / CAT – 3 (SSEN)NGP / NGCP (National Grid)CCNSG or equivalent safety certification…
