Role Overview:We are seeking a Mobile Electrical Engineer with a strong background in building services maintenance to support a portfolio of commercial properties.This is a hands-on, client-facing role involving both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance, along with occasional installation work.The ideal candidate will be proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities:Perform reactive maintenance and troubleshooting across electrical systemsDeliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasksConduct fault finding, repairs, and minor installationsComplete electrical testing and certificationUse and maintain tasks within CAFM systemsEnsure compliance with health & safety standards and proceduresInspect systems and proactively identify and resolve issuesProduce technical reports and quotes for remedial worksSupport cross-skilled tasks (mechanical, fabric, etc.) when requiredParticipate in an on-call rota and provide out-of-hours emergency cover
Day-to-Day Activities:Manage stakeholder relationships and deliver high-quality serviceEnsure SLA/KPI performance targets are met or exceededConduct site inspections and maintain compliance documentationSupport minor projects, vendor coordination, and operational improvementsRespond to and resolve emergency situations on-siteMaintain accurate records, reports, and system data
Required Skills & Qualifications:NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)City & Guilds Level 2 & 3 Electrical qualifications18th Edition Wiring Regulations certificationTesting & Inspection qualifications (2391 or 2394 & 2395 xcswzye preferred)Proven experience in commercial electrical maintenanceStrong understanding of HVAC systems and building servicesBasic skills in plumbing, carpentry, or general fabric maintenance (advantageous)Full UK Driving LicenseFamiliarity with CAFM systems and mobile working tools
