Mechanical Process EngineerThe Role

As a Mechanical Process Engineer you will be responsible for the mechanical maintenance of all machines, ensuring efficient operations of cycle, weight, and quality of products. You will optimise mechanical processes and systems to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness across manufacturing operations.

Mechanical Process EngineerMain Responsibilities

Maintenance and rectification of engineering faults to maximise availability of machines and keep them in good working conditionAnalyse existing mechanical processes and identify areas for improvement, looking to optimise throughput and reduce wasteDevelop automation programmes, implement new automated products, and carry out routine maintenance of robots, tool attachments, and systemsCollaborate with multi-functional teams to integrate new processes and technologies into production systemsAssist the tool change fitters with achieving tool change target times, and ensuring all tools and ancillary equipment are ready for operationSet up machines when tool changes are complete

Mechanical Process EngineerThe Candidate

HNC Qualified with a minimum of 3 years post-apprenticeship experienceExcellent fault-finding skillsAbility to multi-task and prioritise based on operational needsExperience in a manufacturing environment (ideally with plastic processing knowledge)Experience xcswzye of automation technologies would be beneficial
