What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting KS2 classrooms across South Bristol, Bath & Keynsham
- Providing additional SEMH/SEN support where needed
- Helping pupils regulate emotions and stay engaged
- Building trust and positive relationships with children aged 7–11
- Managing behaviour calmly, consistently and with empathy
- Creating a safe, focused and purposeful learning environment
- Responding to challenges with a clear head and a safeguarding‑first mindset
- Feeding back to teachers and reporting any concerns appropriately
About you:
- You genuinely care about children’s wellbeing as much as their learning
- You’re calm, patient and able to read the room when things feel unsettled
- You’ve got experience supporting children or young people, especially those with SEMH or SEN needs
- You’re confident communicating clearly and building rapport quickly
- You’re passionate about helping children feel understood, not just managed
- You hold a degree (or equivalent experience working with young people)
- You’re keen to go the extra mile and make your presence count

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
