In a nutshell, this role supports the delivery of IT services to over 950+ users across nine offices in a busy professional services environment. You’ll play a key part in providing a responsive, customer‑focused IT service, while also helping to maintain and develop the firm’s IT systems and infrastructure.
The role is office‑based across Exeter (3 days per week) and Torquay (1 day per week), with the remainder of your time home working. As regular travel between offices is required, a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential. Expenses will be paid when travelling outside your contracted office of Exeter.
What you’ll be doing day to day
- Providing first‑line IT desktop support to colleagues, both remotely and face to face
- Assisting with user administration, including setting up and maintaining accounts
- Building, configuring and maintaining end‑user hardware
- Carrying out general IT administration, including asset tracking, licensing, purchasing and maintaining records
About you
- Friendly, confident, and approachable, with a strong customer‑focused mindset
- Clear and professional communicator, both verbally and in writing
- Well organised, with a good eye for detail when working with systems and data
- Broad interest in IT with solid troubleshooting skills
- An understanding of the importance of security and confidentiality in a professional services environment
- Experience or interest in areas such as Microsoft 365, Windows 11, Microsoft Teams, Citrix, document management systems, business applications and iOS mobile device support would be beneficial
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car
