Role: Group Head of School – Engineering Apprenticeships
Location: Tresham College – Corby Campus but will travel to all Group Sites
Salary/Benefits: Salary is between £47,972 and £62,099 per annum DOE and Qualifications, 35 days annual leave plus Bank holidays, Teacher’s pension / Local Government Pension Scheme, Retail and Leisure Discounts, excellent professional and personal development opportunities, accessing college courses.
Hours/Weeks: 37 hours per week – 52 weeks per year
Contract Type: Permanent – Full Time

About The Role
- Strategic Leadership & Apprenticeship Provision – Lead the Apprenticeship School, shaping a high‑quality, ambitious curriculum aligned to College strategy, employer needs and national priorities.
- Curriculum Design, Growth & Industry Engagement – Develop and implement innovative, sequenced curriculum models, working closely with employers, stakeholders and curriculum leaders to ensure relevance and growth.
- Team Leadership, Performance & Culture – Manage and develop Programme Managers and staff, driving high performance, accountability and a positive, student‑centred culture across the team.
- Operational Management, Quality & Compliance – Oversee budgets, performance metrics, self‑assessment and compliance, ensuring robust quality assurance and delivery against key performance targets.
- Partnerships, Reporting & Professional Practice – Represent the College internally and externally, build strategic partnerships, contribute to organisational planning and uphold safeguarding, EDI, health & safety and professional standards.
About You
- Qualifications & Leadership Expertise – Level 7 qualified (or equivalent experience) with a recognised teaching qualification, underpinned by strong knowledge of leadership within a Further Education context.
- Strategic Leadership & Operational Management – Proven experience leading teams, implementing strategy and developing policies and procedures to drive performance and organisational success.
- People Management, Communication & Influence – Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to lead, motivate and influence stakeholders at all levels while building strong professional relationships.
- Data, Planning & Decision‑Making – Strong analytical, organisational and project management skills, with the ability to interpret data, prioritise effectively and make informed decisions in a dynamic environment.
- Professional Practice, Compliance & Flexibility – Committed to safeguarding, equality and College values, with high integrity, attention to detail and flexibility to work across sites and adapt to changing business needs.
