Job Title: Roofing Tutor / Trainer

Overview
We are seeking an experienced roofing professional to train and support roofing apprentices. This role is ideal for an experienced roofer looking to move away from site work into a stable, permanent role, or for an existing tutor wanting to continue delivering trade‑based training.
The role involves delivering practical and classroom‑based training, assessing learner progress, and supporting apprentices through to successful completion of their programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver practical and theory‑based roofing training to apprentices
- Demonstrate correct methods, safe working practices, and industry standards
- Assess learner work and maintain accurate training and progress records
- Support apprentices through their programme and end‑point assessment
- Work with employers to monitor learner progress
- Maintain a safe, organised workshop and classroom environment
- Complete required paperwork and compliance documentation
- Monitor attendance and learner welfare, including safeguarding concerns
- Keep industry knowledge up to date and complete CPD

Essential Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in roofing
- Experience in slate & tile and/or flat roofing
