As an Automation Panel Workshop Apprentice, you’ll work alongside experienced engineers, developing practical skills in control panel building, wiring, and automation systems. About the Role
You’ll be based in our workshop, supporting the build, wiring, and assembly of automation and control panels. You’ll gain experience across a variety of tasks, learning how to produce high‑quality panels used in industrial environments.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Reading and interpreting electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical drawings
- Carrying out point‑to‑point wiring of control panels
- Using hand tools and electrical tools safely and effectively
- Assisting with panel assembly, including door cut‑outs and component fitting
- Producing labels and ensuring panels are clearly identified
- Handling materials and components safely and efficiently
- Assisting with stock management and inventory control
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment
About you
We would like to hear from you if you have:
- GCSE Grade 4 (or above) in Maths and English
- A strong work ethic and eagerness to learn
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Practical mindset with attention to detail
