Associate Divisional Director – Women Children and Integrated Community Services – Band 8C – 37.5 hours

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and experienced Senior Manager with exceptional leadership skills, to join the Division of Women Children and Integrated Community Services in the role of Associate Divisional Director.

The Associate Divisional Director will support the Divisional Director in delivering their divisional objectives and supporting the services within their Division. A key focus will be achievement against the Operational standards and targets, alongside the delivery of activity agreements with Commissioners. It will also include achievement against a range of internally developed objectives and priorities.

The post holder will be a key member of the Divisional Management Team, and will work closely with the Divisional Director, Associate Medical Director and Divisional Directors of Nursing/AHP’s/Midwifery in order to develop the strategic direction of Divisional services, setting a clear vision aligned to national policy and system-wide priorities. A key priority of the post holder will be to provide strategic leadership and oversight of discharge services, setting a clear vision aligned to national policy and system-wide priorities, including the left shift agenda.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will demonstrate networking and negotiating skills and the ability to quickly build and maintain effective productive relationships, both internally within the Trust and with external partners.

Candidates must be a team player with significant experience of working in a range of NHS settings, proven management skills, and experience in leading complex services and teams. The post holder will be responsible for leading, challenging and driving forward continuous quality improvement.

The Associate Divisional Director will be responsible for line management of the Directorate Managers within the Division.

The postholder must be able to influence stakeholders across the locality to ensure the interest of Stockport patients are well represented.

The post holder will be expected to work in line with Trust values and behave in a manner that facilitates the development of autonomous teams and individuals that are empowered, engaged and committed to continually delivering excellent care.

The post holder is expected to participate in the senior manager on call rota and to cross cover for colleagues during periods of annual leave

  • Master’s degree or ability to demonstrate comparable experiential learning.
