About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated and reflective Year 5 Class Teacher to join a supportive primary school from September 2026. This role involves taking over a well-settled class transitioning from Year 4, where strong relationships, routines and positive learning behaviours are already established.
There are a small number of pupils with additional needs. The teacher should be confident in adaptive teaching, inclusive practice, and working closely with support staff to ensure all pupils thrive.
Key responsibilities
- Take over a well-settled Year 5 class transitioning from Year 4.
- Maintain strong relationships, routines, and positive learning behaviours.
- Design and deliver lessons that adapt to a range of learning needs.
- Collaborate effectively with Teaching Assistants to support targeted provision.
- Manage behaviour and build relationships with pupils.
- Deliver high-quality teaching across the curriculum.
- Contribute to wider school life and collaborate with colleagues.
