Smart Solutions is recruiting HGV Class 2 Drivers to join a busy waste and recycling operation in Leicester. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced and newly qualified drivers looking for stable, ongoing work with guaranteed hours and excellent work-life balance.

The Role
As a Class 2 Refuse Driver, you will operate a refuse collection vehicle while working as part of a team to provide domestic waste collections across residential areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class 2 refuse collection vehicle
- Work alongside loaders to complete daily collection routes
- Ensure bins are emptied and returned safely to designated locations
- Complete all scheduled collections and assist with missed bins where required
- Carry out vehicle checks and report any defects
- Follow all health and safety, road traffic and operational procedures
Requirements
- Valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence
- Driver CPC Qualification Card
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to work outdoors
- Previous waste and recycling experience is beneficial but not essential
