Role Overview
Financial Controller – responsible for the financial oversight of Neuberger corporate entities.
Responsibilities
- Full ownership of various corporate entities from a financial perspective, including governance and control.
- Oversight of operational accounting entries made by centralized functions.
- Production of monthly, quarterly and annual management reporting.
- All statutory and regulatory reporting and review.
- Cash and capital management.
- Overall responsibility for interim and year‑end audits, coordinating between the audit team and internal legal entity owners.
- Review current processes, procedures and systems, recommend improvements and document implementation across the team.
- Understand UK GAAP and US GAAP accounting considerations and implications.
- Team management and oversight, escalating to the Head of Finance as appropriate.
- Operational accounting: reconciliation/review of key balance‑sheet accounts, accruals, and manual rebate calculations.
- Business support: production of board‑level and business‑level management reporting, financial modelling of new product launches, year‑one fund reviews and investor impact analysis.
Qualifications
- Qualified accountant (preferably 10+ years post‑qualification).
- Background in financial services is preferred.
- Experience managing small teams.
- Confident, able to deal with multiple internal clients.
- Highly organized, adheres to internal deadlines and escalates issues appropriately.
- Self‑starter, able to work independently while engaging with the wider finance team.
- Advanced Excel skills.
