Primary SEN Teacher, Fantastic Primary School Tower Hamlets

A “Good” Primary School located in the Borough of Tower Hamlets is looking for a Primary SEN Teacher. This September 2026 role is full time and employed directly through the school.

Role

The role of a Primary SEN Teacher will be the following:

• Teaching in an ARP with 6 children (non‑verbal / ASD)
• Working & leading an experienced & strong HLTA
• Supporting EHCP applications – writing and carrying out assessments
• Initially working within the Primary School with the long‑term view of venturing to the Nursery School, providing additional SEN support & leadership

This is an excellent opportunity for a Primary Teacher with a passion for SEN, and a stepping stone towards an SENCO role with a great chance for progression.

• MPS1 – MPS6 + SEN point

Person Specification

• Must be confident working in a fast‑paced environment
• Strong understanding of SEN is required
• QTS required
• Able to plan & teach engaging lessons for SEN pupils
• Carry out data/admin tasks to a high level
• Able to work within a large team
