Senior PCB Design Engineer – Cambridge

A Senior PCB Design Engineer is required to join a multidisciplinary engineering team developing electronics for industrial and communications applications. The Senior PCB Design Engineer will work on complex, high-reliability designs from concept through to manufacture. This Senior PCB Design Engineer role offers broad technical exposure across high-speed digital, RF, power and mixed-signal designs.

Responsibilities

• Own PCB layout activities across multilayer boards, HDI designs and high-density component placement
• Work closely with electronic, mechanical and manufacturing teams to meet performance, thermal and EMC constraints
• Generate schematics, stack-ups, routing strategies and manufacturing documentation
• Perform DFM/DFT reviews and liaise with fabrication and assembly partners
• Support design reviews, technical discussions and project planning
• Contribute to continuous improvement of PCB processes, libraries and design standards

Requirements

• Strong track record in PCB design for complex electronic systems
• Experience with high-speed digital, controlled-impedance routing or mixed-signal layouts
• Familiarity with EMC considerations, power distribution and thermal constraints
• Proficiency with industry PCB CAD tools (Altium or similar)
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and design-for-manufacture principles
• Degree in Electronic Engineering or related discipline
