Job Introduction
We are Eden Futures, and we deliver exceptional support services for people aged 18 and over who have learning disabilities, autism, mental ill health and associated complex needs. We are recruiting Support Workers – Waking Nights to join the team across our Supported Living services, supporting individuals in their own homes and in the community, helping them to live as independently as possible.
Compensation and Benefits
Roles are paid at an hourly rate of £13.20, equating to an annual salary of £28,828.80 based on a 42 hour working week (the annual salary shown is a per annum equivalent for illustration purposes only and will be pro rata based on hours worked). You will also be eligible for a £500 bonus through our refer a friend scheme (unlimited referrals).
Eden Futures supports staff development through e‑learning, face‑to‑face training and tailored development plans. Career pathways such as a Care Certificate and apprenticeships are also available.
Main Responsibilities
- Support service users to lead a full and active life in line with their wishes and choices, considering their assessed needs and individual support and care plans, participating in the development of plans where applicable.
- Support individuals to stay safe, taking appropriate action to safeguard their welfare and protect them from abuse wherever possible.
- Provide emotional support when needed, maintaining a person‑centred approach.
- Help service users participate in chosen social activities and services in their community, manage their finances and medication responsibly, assist with practical tasks around the home, and respectfully support with personal care, hygiene and healthcare.
- Act as an informal point of contact for those in the service users’ circle of support (e.g. families and social workers).
- Accurately report and record any issues related to the care and support of our service users to monitor their health and wellbeing.
- Comply with Health and Safety regulations and have regard for the health, safety and welfare of others.

- Caring and compassionate, with a genuine passion for helping our service users lead a full and active life and to achieve as much independence as possible.
- Experience in the care sector is not required; we recruit individuals based on their values.
- Ability to remain positive when facing challenging days and to positively influence how someone feels.
- Enjoys working as part of a team as well as using one’s own initiative, and is willing to support colleagues when needed.
