SEN Teaching Assistants South Bristol

We are currently recruiting for Teaching Assistants to fill full‑time and part‑time roles within a lovely primary school in South Bristol.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience of working as a Teaching Assistant or Support Staff within a school and be comfortable working with SEN children in groups and 1:1. You will have a strong knowledge of phonics and be comfortable delivering phonics teaching to small groups.

Responsibilities

• Working closely with school staff to deliver tailored behavioural strategies.
• Promoting positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and self‑esteem through 1:1 or small group interventions.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Teaching Assistant or support staff in a school environment.
• Experience working with SEN children.
• Strong knowledge of phonics and ability to deliver phonics teaching to small groups.
• Calm, patient and resilient approach to building positive relationships with young people.
