About the Role
We are working with a welcoming and supportive 2 form entry mainstream primary school in Harrow that is looking to appoint a passionate and dedicated KS1 or KS2 Teacher for September. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high‑quality teaching and learning, creating a positive classroom environment, and supporting pupils both academically and emotionally. The school is open to considering teachers with experience in either KS1 or KS2.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum
- Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
- Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills and maintain high expectations for learning and behaviour
- Differentiate learning to support pupils of all abilities, including SEN and EAL pupils
- Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress effectively
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents
- Contribute positively to the wider school community and school activities
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
- Experience teaching within KS1 or KS2
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- A creative and engaging approach to lesson planning and delivery
- A good understanding of the Primary National Curriculum
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (UDS), or willingness to apply for one
