Location

London – working on a hybrid basis, with a minimum of 2 days per week in office.

Responsibilities

  • Research target accounts to understand their business and where Cisco Security is relevant.
  • Reach out to senior stakeholders via phone, email, and LinkedIn with thoughtful, personalised outreach.
  • Qualify leads and identify the right people and priorities within an account.
  • Book discovery meetings for Account Executives and Security Specialists.
  • Collaborate with the wider sales team to align on accounts and share market insight.
  • Build knowledge of the Cisco Security portfolio covering Zero Trust, SASE, threat detection, and cloud security.
  • Stay current on industry trends, regulatory developments, and the broader threat landscape.

Skill Development (Over the first year)

  • Outbound prospecting – research, personalisation, and objection handling.
  • Enterprise sales fundamentals – how large organisations buy and how to navigate them.
  • Cisco Security portfolio knowledge – from architecture‑level conversations to specific solutions.
  • Industry expertise across sectors such as financial services, retail, and public sector.
  • Pipeline management and how to use data to prioritise effectively.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 0–2 years of professional sales development experience.
  • A recent/upcoming graduate of a Bachelor’s degree (or higher) or a certification programme such as a boot‑camp or apprenticeship – equivalent experience accepted.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Legally able to live and work in the country for which you’re applying.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Some experience in a sales, commercial or customer‑facing role.
  • An interest in cybersecurity or enterprise technology.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Salesforce, Outreach, or LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
  • Curious and eager to learn – about technology, business, and how organisations make decisions.
  • A clear and confident communicator, both in writing and in conversation.
  • Resilient and self‑motivated – comfortable with the highs and lows of outbound sales.
  • Organised and able to manage a busy workload without losing attention to detail.
  • Open to feedback and committed to developing your skills.
