Pay

Pay starts at £14.18 per hour, increasing to £15.45 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may apply depending on location.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure the van and trays I use are clean and kept tidy/organised.
• Leave the back yard clean, tidy, and clear of rubbish; pick up litter as seen.
• Ensure trays are washed as part of the tray wash process.
• Load the van as required and check the van for roadworthiness.
• Talk to the customer about any changes to their order, including short code items and substitutions, offering a refund if they are unhappy.
• Take care of products/deliveries as if they were your own.
• Explain to the customer that they will not be charged more for their substitutions.
• Deliver during the customer’s time slot.
• Call the customer before arriving at their property if early.
• Call the store/centre if running 30 or more minutes late.
• Build relationships with colleagues to create team spirit, working together to make sure our store is the best it can be for customers.
• Warm and welcoming in interactions with customers and colleagues, taking time to understand the customer and say “Thank you.”
• Act quickly to respond to the changing needs of our customers and embrace change within the store.
• Energetic and driven to deliver beyond expectations, integrating home and work to achieve a balance that is right for you.
• Share ideas with your Manager and other colleagues on how we can improve our store for customers.

Qualifications

• Valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence (Full or Automatic) held for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.
• Minimum availability of 12 hours per week; 16 guaranteed hours per week.
• Availability to work within the specified availability windows.
• Must be over 18 and have passed the school leaver’s age for this role.
• Eligible to work before 6:15am or after 9:45pm or in warehouses, beer & wine, spirits, counters, bakery, and driving roles.
