• Saturday: 18:00 – 22:00

Our Customer Delivery Driver rate of pay starts from £14.18 an hour; this increases to £15.45 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location

We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week. If you prefer fewer hours, a minimum of 12 is also available.

As the face of Tesco on the road, you will deliver to customers’ homes across the country, meeting clients daily and providing superior service with a smile.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the van and trays are clean, tidy, and organised.
• Keep the back yard clean and free of rubbish, picking up litter when seen.
• Wash trays as part of the tray washing process.
• Load the van, check it for roadworthiness.
• Communicate with customers about order changes, including short code items and substitutions, and offer refunds if necessary.
• Treat products and deliveries as if they were your own.
• Explain to customers that they will not be charged for substitutions.
• Deliver during the customer’s time slot.
• Call the customer before arrival if early.
• Call the store or centre if running 30 or more minutes late.
• Build relationships with colleagues to create team spirit.
• Provide warm and welcoming interactions with customers and colleagues.
• Respond quickly to changing customer needs and embrace change at the store.
• Be energetic and driven to deliver beyond expectations.
• Share ideas with your Manager and colleagues to improve the store.
• Hold a valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence (Full or Automatic) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.

Requirements:

• Over 18 years of age.• Ability to work during the specified availability window (including early evenings and weekends).• Valid driving licence as listed above.
