Responsibilities
As a Retail Security Officer, you will be required to provide a visible deterrence, respond to incidents, complete incident reports and collaborate with local authorities.
You will be expected to carry out all guarding responsibilities whilst in store, such as:
- Patrolling the shop floor and deterring criminal activity
- Assess and identify vulnerabilities, and work proactively to minimise risk
- Liaising with management and local authorities when applicable
- Managing vulnerable people with empathy to avoid distress
- Completing colleague and contractor searches as required in line with customer company policy
- Digitally reporting incidents and using tablets/phones for daily activity planning
- Providing detailed and legible incident reporting to assist the client and local authorities
Qualifications
You must have a valid SIA licence to apply for this role, and you should be able to provide a full 5-year checkable work or back‑to‑school history. Full training will be provided for those without prior retail security experience.

Hours: 31 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Hourly Rate: £13.00
