About the Role

Fire & Security Engineer – Location: Field‑Based (Midlands) – Hours: Monday to Friday, average of 45 hours per week. We are looking for an experienced Fire & Security Engineer to join our field‑based team.

What We’re Looking For

Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role within a service‑led environment
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
  • Ability to provide a full 5‑year employment history, including:
    • At least 2 references
    • Right to work in the UK
    • Credit check clearance
  • Relevant industry qualifications (desirable but not essential)

Key Skills & Attributes

  • Strong technical knowledge of fire and security systems
  • Proven experience working in a field‑based role
  • Ability to diagnose faults and problem‑solve effectively
  • Good understanding of health & safety regulations and industry standards
  • Organised, proactive, and able to take ownership of tasks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and willing to learn internal systems
  • Commercial awareness with a focus on customer satisfaction

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and commission high‑quality fire and security systems
  • Carry out maintenance and repairs to ensure systems perform at their best
  • Deliver excellent customer service on‑site, building strong relationships
  • Support the wider operational team in successful service delivery
  • Ensure all work meets compliance and safety standards

Compliance & Best Practice

  • Adhere to all statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Follow internal processes and best practice guidelines
  • Support the use of central systems and processes across the business
