Role Description

This opportunity is to join the London Borough of Bromley Public Health Department as a Consultant in Public Health. The role is full‑time and involves working closely with the Council, the Integrated Care Board and partners across South East London.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional public health leadership to the Council, the ICB and external stakeholders in disease prevention, healthcare public health and the NHS Health Checks Programme.
  • Lead across the full spectrum of public health, holding a work plan with specific lead areas of responsibility.
  • Lead and manage a team of staff and serve as an authorised budget holder.
  • Develop, implement and deliver national, regional and local policies, and create inter‑agency and interdisciplinary strategic plans and programmes.

Qualifications

  • Registered with GMC, GDC or UKPHR Public Health specialist registration (or eligible for registration within six months of interview).
  • Relevant skills and experience to demonstrate leadership across all areas of public health practice.
