Job Description:

MNI Markets is a leading provider of real‑time financial news and intelligence, delivering critical insights to investment banks, hedge funds, and financial professionals globally. We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our dynamic global sales team in London.

As an SDR at MNI, you will play a key role in driving new business growth by generating and qualifying leads across Europe, the US, the Middle East, and Asia. You will be part of a high‑performing team and report directly to our global SDR management team. This is an excellent entry point into financial sales, offering a fast‑track progression into Account Management, Client Relations or Business Development roles within 6–9 months.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate new business opportunities through outbound lead generation across global markets
  • Initiate contact with prospective clients and create trial access to MNI content
  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads through structured calling sessions during trial periods
  • Engage with senior stakeholders (C‑suite) at investment banks and hedge funds
  • Support account management efforts by maintaining relationships with existing clients and identifying risks and growth opportunities
  • Present updates on sales activity and performance in weekly team meetings
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless client experience

Training & Development

You will participate in a structured SDR training programme designed to build core sales skills and financial market knowledge. Training is delivered through a combination of internal sessions and external workshops, with a focus on continuous development and success in consultative sales.

Requirements

  • Strong academic background with a minimum 2:1 degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field such as business, economics, politics, or similar
  • Demonstrated interest in financial markets and current affairs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confident, articulate, and highly organised
  • Energetic, personable, and goal‑driven with a strong desire to succeed
  • A growth mindset and willingness to learn consultative sales techniques
  • Basic understanding of market dynamics or economic principles
  • Ability to be in the London office 3‑4 days per week
