We’re recruiting a Customer Development Executive to manage and grow our Magnum across Portsmouth and surrounding areas. You’ll build strong relationships with store decision‑makers, negotiate additional displays, increase distribution and visibility, and drive sales for well‑known household brands.
This role is ideal for someone with field sales or direct selling experience who enjoys autonomy, building relationships, and seeing the direct impact of your work in store. What You’ll Be Doing
As a Customer Development Executive you’ll take full ownership of your area, working closely with the Regional Sales Manager and a supportive field team to achieve agreed KPIs.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Managing a territory and planning visits around store manager availability to maximise opportunities
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with store managers and key decision‑makers
- Negotiating additional displays and promotional activity
- Driving distribution, availability and compliance across agreed product ranges
- Executing merchandising activities in line with brand guidelines
- Actively selling and promoting products to maximise sales and visibility
- Using sales data to track performance and identify growth opportunities
- Managing CAPEX assets such as freezers on loan and premium POS, ensuring outlets meet contractual terms and conditions
What We’re Looking For

- Experience working in field sales or a similar role
- Strong communication skills and confidence influencing stakeholders
- Excellent time‑management and territory‑planning ability
- Self‑motivated and results‑driven
- A full UK driving licence (no more than 6 points and no previous bans)
Nice to have:
- Merchandising or POS execution experience
- Direct selling skills
