Apprentice Retail Sales Assistant

Location: 176 High Road, Balham SW12 9BW – Hours: 39 hours a week – Shift flexibility: Flexible – Salary: £9.95 per hour.

At Superdrug you are at the heart of the action – serving customers with a smile, sharing Star Buys, and ensuring people leave feeling great. You help keep the store looking its best and fully stocked, support the team in smashing sales targets, and participate in a 12-month in-store apprenticeship programme.

Responsibilities

• Engage customers, provide product recommendations, and upsell Star Buys.
• Maintain store presentation, stock levels and overall cleanliness.
• Achieve sales targets and support the team as part of the store’s sales strategy.
• Participate in the 12‑month in‑store training programme and complete reviews and observations to attain Retailer Level 2 Apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• Grade 4 / C GCSE in English and maths (or equivalent national 4’s for Scotland).
• Not currently in any form of education and available for full‑time shifts.
• Have not completed a retail apprenticeship before.
• Eligible to work in the UK.
• Brand new to retail – a willingness to learn is essential.
