Job overview
To work as part of an early years team helping to providing a high quality of care for the children aged 0-5 years in a safe, caring and stimulating environment.
Main duties of the job
- Ensure the health and safety of children in your care.
- Collaborate with Early Years Practitioners to create a safe, stimulating environment that supports children’s development.
- Be a key person for a group of children, helping them settle in, building relationships with them and their families, and maintaining accurate records of their progress.
- Communicate daily with parents, sharing updates about their child’s welfare and progress.
- Plan and contribute to individual and group activities that encourage learning and development.
- Work flexibly across different rooms and age groups, and occasionally at other locations within North Bristol Trust.
- Attend staff trainingand meetings to stay updated and share knowledge with colleagues.
- Follow the EYFS framework,North Bristol Trust policies, anddata protection guidelines.
- Promote equal opportunitiesand maintain a culturally sensitive environment.
- Contribute to quality assurance schemesand attend parents’ eveningsandstaff appraisals.
