Anopportunity has arisen for a friendly hard-working receptionist to join theteam here inleafy Barnt Green. Our community sits in a semi-rural village, within easyreach of Birmingham and is accessed by good train and motorway connections.
The role will be for sixteen hours per week covering the following shifts and there will also be the need to support the team with holiday and sickness cover.
Mon 1-7pm (6hrs)
Tues 2-7pm (5hrs)
Friday 8-1pm (5 hours)
Main duties of the job
Assisting patients to access the most appropriate service or healthcare professional in a polite, courteous, and effective way.
Providing general assistance to the practice team and projecting a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors.
Tocarry out a variety of administrative tasks for the efficient running of the Practice.

Youd be part of a clinicalteam comprising of a salaried GPs, Physicians Associates, a Nurse Prescriber,Practice Nurses, Pharmacy team and HCAs.

Qualifications
- Good standard of general education
- (GCSE Maths and English at grade C or above)
- Excellent telephone manner
- Excellent organisational skills
- Calm and professional manner
- General office procedures
- Ability to follow instructions accurately
- Face to face contact with public/patients
- Willingness to work the required hours and flexibility to provide holiday/sickness cover as required
- Willingness to learn and undertake relevant training as required
- Able to use own initiative
- Common sense
- Polite, confident, open friendly manner
- Certificate in Customer Care
- Computer Literacy Qualification
- Knowledge of Primary Care
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Clinical Computer System (EMIS)
