Nursery Assistant – Lunch Cover

Part of Grandir UKKiddi Caru Sowton Day Nursery in Exeter

Salary: £10.85–£12.71 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications, with regular pay reviews)

Hours of work: 11 am – 3 pm (daily) = 20 hours per week

We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our supportive, child‑focused nursery. You will play a key role in caring for, supporting and inspiring our children, encouraging curiosity and helping them thrive every day.

Location

Our nursery is located in the Exeter Business Park, conveniently off Junction 30 of the M5. With a large car park, drop‑off and collection is easy.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Supervise and support children at all times
  • Prepare and supervise activities under the guidance of Level 3 qualified practitioners
  • Contribute to maintaining an attractive and welcoming environment for the children
  • Read, understand and implement all company policies, procedures and operational practices
  • Maintain a positive attitude at all times with children, parents, visitors and colleagues
  • Attend regular staff meetings, planning meetings and undertake training as required
