Level 3 Teaching Assistant

NJC Point 12-17

Pay: £21,605 – £23,437 per annum

Hours: 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time only)

Contract: Fixed term until 31 August 2027

Start Date: As soon as possible

Responsibilities

• Work with class teachers to raise learning and attainment of pupils.
• Promote pupils’ independence, self‑esteem and social inclusion.
• Support pupils individually or in groups so that they can access the curriculum, take part in learning and experience a sense of achievement.
• Assist with classroom management and support teaching activities.
• Implement strategies to increase pupil confidence and participation.

Qualifications

• GCSE level (including English and Maths grade C/4 or higher).
• NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• First aid training or willingness to undertake.
• Good understanding of safeguarding responsibilities.
