Job Title: Level 3 Teaching Assistant (with Personal Care)
E-ACT The Oldham Academy North is an inclusive secondary academy located in Oldham.
Key Responsibilities
- Work under the direction of the class teacher to support pupils’ learning.
- Run structured intervention programmes for identified pupils.
- Assist in the implementation of EHCPs.
- Provide personal care where required (toileting, feeding, hygiene).
- Deliver specialist interventions as trained (sensory circuits, SLCN programmes).
Remuneration
Pay range: SCP 6-12 – £20,078.01 – £22,093.61 – FTE: £25,989.00 – £28,598.00. Permanent, starting September 2026.
Qualifications and Skills
- GCSE Maths and English minimum grade C or equivalent.
- TA3 qualification or relevant experience.
- Knowledge and understanding of how children learn and how to motivate them.
- Ability to work with an individual child or with a group.
- Ability to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders using a variety of methods.
