Key responsibilities

• Deliver peri‑operative assessment and anaesthesia for adult patients across all specialties, as appropriate to training and experience.
• Provide specialist trauma anaesthesia services.
• Assist in on‑call commitments (approx. 1:20) and cover emergency on‑call work.
• Contribute to the Trust’s Clinical Governance programme, including clinical audit, quality improvement, guideline development, appraisal and risk management.
• Participate in peri‑operative assessment clinics when required.
• Provide paediatric anaesthesia as part of a separate on‑call rota.

Qualifications and experience

• Full GMC registration and licence to practice.
• Relevant specialist training or experience in trauma anaesthesia.
• Demonstrated commitment to clinical governance and quality improvement.
