CCTV Drainage Operative

Location: North West

FJA are recruiting on behalf of a market leader in the water and wastewater sector for an experienced CCTV Drainage Operative to join a new three‑man CCTV team. You’ll carry out CCTV surveys of drainage networks across the North West, with strong development and progression opportunities.

The CCTV Drainage Operative Role

• Carry out CCTV surveys of sewer and drainage networks
• Use advanced CCTV equipment to identify defects and record accurate data
• Work in confined spaces and on highways (training available)
• Provide excellent customer service
• Complete paperwork and annotate drainage plans
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Manual handling, including lifting manhole covers
• Flexible working, including occasional weekends

CCTV Drainage Operative Requirements

• Strong written and verbal communication
• Ability to complete paperwork accurately
• Knowledge of sewer networks and domestic drainage
• Good problem‑solving and record‑keeping
• Reliable, flexible, and able to work outdoors
• Full UK driving licence
• CCTV experience beneficial

Desirable

• Confined Spaces Certificate
• NRSWA Signing, Lighting & Guarding
• Outdoor/manual labour experience
• Willingness to learn and develop

Health & Safety

• Lifting heavy items (e.g., manhole covers)
• Entering sewers
• Working outdoors in all weather, including occasional night work
