Night Shift Senior Warehouse Op

Tennial Personnel are looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Warehouse Operative to join a leading logistics operation based in Felixstowe. This is a full-time, temporary to permanent (after a successful 12‑week probation period) night shift role, working Monday to Friday, 16:30 to 01:00.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands‑on environment and enjoys taking responsibility for the smooth running of warehouse operations during night hours. You will play a key part in overseeing daily activities, supporting your team, and ensuring health and safety standards are maintained across the site.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) such as Counterbalance, Flexi, and MLOP trucks.
• Oversee nightly warehouse operations, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
• Carry out stock checks, monitor inventory movements, and maintain precise records.
• Lead by example, providing direction, guidance, and on‑the‑job support to warehouse operatives.
• Step in for the Team Leader when required, maintaining workflow and quality standards.
• Uphold site safety procedures by performing responsibilities such as First Aid, Fire Marshal duties, and Racking Inspections.

Skills Required

• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate others.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving ability.
• Comfortable working at heights of up to 5 metres.
• Highly organised with a focus on safety and efficiency.
• Adaptable, dependable, and capable of working independently during night operations.

Qualifications Required

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (essential).
• Experience with Flexi or HLOP trucks (preferred).
• Prior experience in a senior or supervisory warehouse role.
• Additional qualifications such as First Aid or Fire Marshal certification would be advantageous.
