About the role

As a Customer Team Member, you’ll be part of a friendly team that’s dedicated to helping our customers. We’ll look to you to provide them with great service on the tills and the shop floor, while also performing a wide range of other tasks around the store like re‑stocking shelves and cleaning up spillages. Responsibilities
- Friendly and thoughtful service – you’ll put customers first in everything you do: responding to queries, championing Co‑op products and Membership, working in our in‑store bakery and doing all you can to deliver a great shopping experience.
- Work together to make everyone’s day better – supporting your store colleagues to solve problems for customers and members.
- Make sure the store is safe and legal – keep the shelves stocked and ensure prices, dates and temperatures are correct.
- Help introduce new products and services – make changes feel natural, sharing experiences with your colleagues so everyone learns together.
- Support your local community by getting involved in a range of activities and events. Deliver a great in‑store experience to customers and promote our membership offer; prepare bakery products. Every day is different, making this role perfect for those looking to kick‑start a retail career.

Working Pattern
Opening shifts, early morning starts through to early afternoon, with flexible availability across the week to include at least one weekend shift. Either Friday after 6pm, any shift on Saturday or Sunday. We’re happy to discuss your availability further at interview. The role includes working in our in‑store bakery.
