Location: Crewe, Cheshire | Pay Rate: £15.13 per hour (assignment rate) | Duration: Minimum 4 weeks with potential for extension | Start Date: Immediate start available

We are currently recruiting for a Yard Operative / FLT Counterbalance Driver on behalf of a busy builders merchants based in Crewe, Cheshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied, hands‑on role and thrives in a fast‑paced yard environment.

Key Duties

• Loading and unloading vehicles using a Counterbalance FLT
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe yard environment
• Assisting customers with enquiries and providing excellent customer service
• Liaising with the office team regarding stock and deliveries
• Supporting general yard duties as requiredManual handling duties where required

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• A valid Counterbalance FLT licence
• Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, or builders merchants environment (preferred)
• Strong communication skills and willingness to help customers and colleagues
• Comfortable carrying out manual handling tasks
• Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently
